Learners are unique but learning often isn’t. Ecademy recognizes there are many ways to learn and customizes learning options to meet the needs of our students and families.
At Ecademy, students are with other students and teachers in small groups. Daily progress is communicated with parents and students. Students develop skills for learning and getting work done while acquiring knowledge in content areas. Students can show what they know in multiple ways. At Ecademy, students understand they have strength and stretch areas. They also know that it is alright to have both strengths and stretches.
Children don't develop strengths evenly across subjects and grades. That's why Ecademy students are ability grouped in a multi-age setting where peer interactions are collaborative. When asked what she thought about an assignment, one Ecademy student said, “What I think has never been important.” Her classmate replied, “That’s the way it was for me until I came to Ecademy. Here, they want to know what you think and your opinion counts.” Ecademy wants every student to be confident, competent, and empowered to believe that what they think about their own educational experiences matters.
